Learning and dancing literally go hand-in-hand as students explore why Square Dancing has been a popular social dance since colonial times. Square Dancing develops partnerships, teamwork and listening skills. Dancing together teaches respect and builds community. Square Dancing teaches character skills that are important qualities in developing anti-bullying programs. A Family Dance Party is a great way to build the school community and foster friendships. Meets Common Core Standards in English Language Arts.
