Description

Learning About LGTBQ+ & Gender Identity through the Arts is an inclusive arts exploration of topics within LGBTQ+ issues such as terminology, gender identity, intersectionality, discrimination, and queer liberation movements. The workshops will utilize experiential and discussion-based learning methods, such as Theatre of the Oppressed, storytelling, creative writing, and devised theatre techniques, to dismantle myths, increase sense of identity, and foster a culture of respect, understanding, and solidarity.

This residency is designed to fulfill a statewide mandate in New Jersey that requires public schools to implement LGBTQ+ inclusive curricula that highlight the historical, political, economic, and social contributions of LGBTQ+ individuals.

Additional Fees: In-Person Program Travel Fee - $95 per day; Virtual Program Technology Fee - $45; (On-Demand programs are not charged travel or tech fees)
