Description
Text from Shakespeare’s masterpieces are transformed into fresh and dynamic songs that have audiences singing along in sheer delight! Students will have an interactive and engaging experience that brings music & poetry together in a unique way.
Award-winning composer/pianist Daniel Kelly and a powerhouse jazz vocalist will engage students as they explore the writings of William Shakespeare using a wide range of musical styles (such as jazz, funk, reggae & salsa). Students will join them as they sing along with original songs based on A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twelfth Night, Macbeth, Hamlet and more.
Shakespeare in Song is an engaging, participatory celebration of Shakespeare’s work, offering an exciting new way to experience his genius. Great for those discovering his plays for the first time! No prior knowledge about Shakespeare needed!
