Artist Bio
Mozart & Friends began as a series of family-friendly concerts and has since expanded to offer school assemblies, professional development programs, and community partnerships that bring high-quality music education to diverse audiences. Featuring world-class musicians from renowned orchestras, Broadway, and beyond, these interactive performances blend classical, jazz, and world music with storytelling and engagement.
Partners include institutions such as the New York Public Library, Hudson Yards, Lincoln Center Kids, the Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra, and Young Audiences New Jersey & Eastern Pennsylvania (YANJEP), as well as the United Federation of Teachers (UFT), to bring enriching musical experiences into schools. Additionally, through a collaboration with The Goldie Hawn Foundation’s MindUP, Mozart & Friends integrates music and mindful action to support emotional awareness, focus, and well-being.
Through dynamic assemblies and professional development opportunities, Mozart & Friends is redefining how students and educators experience music—making it interactive, inspiring, and accessible for all.
A note on sensory-friendly programs offered by this Mozart & Friends:
At Mozart for Munchkins, we thoughtfully adapt every program to ensure all students—including those with sensory sensitivities—can meaningfully engage with live music. Our sensory-friendly offerings may include optional tools like emotion cards for nonverbal expression, softer instrumentation when needed, and interactive movement activities with flexible participation. Depending on the group size, we incorporate hands-on props such as scarves or shakers, inviting students to connect with music through touch, movement, and play. When appropriate, our musicians may move gently through the audience to build shared joy and connection.
These concerts reinforce emotional awareness, focus, and community-building. Teachers frequently share that students—especially those who are shy or have IEPs—light up, participate more fully, and express themselves in new ways. We work closely with schools to tailor each program to your students’ needs, creating a joyful, inclusive environment where every child can experience the power of music.
