Seth Reichgott Joins YA as Artist Services Manager!
Meet Seth Reichgott, YA’s new Artist Services Manager!
Seth is excited to join staff at YANJEP after 16 years on the roster as a performing artist. Based in Philadelphia, Seth is an award-winning actor, director, and writer with a wide variety of experience, including Greek mythology, Shakespeare, contemporary theatre, children’s literature, and theatre that teaches science and social issues. Seth has developed and delivered arts-integrated theatre programs for Crayola and the National Theatre for Arts in Education and has written and directed several touring educational shows about science, math, and Appalachian folktales. Seth is a graduate of Wesleyan University and the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre, and is an associate member of the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble.
As YANJEP’s new Artist Services Manager, Seth will be responsible for maintaining the roster of professional teaching artists that represent all artistic disciplines as well as recruiting new artists.
“After 16 years of touring to more schools than I can count, I’m excited to be able to help other artists as they bring the power of the arts to kids all over New Jersey and Eastern PA. Arts education is integral to growing strong, intelligent, creative, and caring children. The work that YANJEP does actually changes lives, helping children to explore new ways to see, to feel, and to be. In our current political and social climate, where arts education seems to be pretty far down the list of priorities, being able to do my part to help bring the arts into schools is a great responsibility that brings with it myriad rewards.”
Welcome Seth!
