Chinese Dragon Shadow Puppets
Students explore the history and culture of traditional Chinese shadow puppet theatre and learn about characteristics of the mythological Chinese dragon. After learning some steps of the dragon dance, students are guided in making their own dragon shadow puppets. Additional time will allow students to perform a story with their dragons.

Artists will need a parking spot for a van. Artist will need a large cart to transport heavy materials. Artist remains in one room; students rotate in. Need 4-6 long tables depending on class size and access to a sink. At least, 1 teacher needed in room to assist.
