The Joy of Puppets

Artist: Molly Gaston Johnson

Type: Workshops / Residencies

From simple, silly, small-scale and shadow, to large, satirical and structurally complex paper-mache creations, puppets can help students grapple with emotionally challenging and/or autobiographical concepts. Singular creations can become one component for large-scale and dramatic storytelling…props and all! Students will create puppets that communicate visually AND verbally! Schools can thematically connect to curriculum areas, community concepts, or just see where the students take the process.
