Liliana Attar
Art Form(s):Artist Statement
My mission is to promote and share the richness, beauty, and diversity of Latin American cultures, encouraging awareness, appreciation, and respect for different cultures through performing arts. As a practicing artist, I offer a bridge to a richly evolved arts tradition; as a teaching artist I offer a bridge to an effective learning experience designed to engage and inform within a stimulating, creative, interactive environment.
I believe that the performing arts are wonderful instruments for language instruction because they incorporate different learning styles and intelligence types.
When students have multiple choices in ways to demonstrate their knowledge, the evidence of their learning is more accurate, and therefore they became lifelong learners.
