On October 14th, YA held its 2024 Artist Gathering with dozens of artists from all art forms engaging in professional learning, breaking bread, and creating together at coLAB Arts in New Brunswick.

The event featured sessions Working with Multilingual Learners by Chris Heller of Lincoln Center Theatre, Artists & Money by Dominic Comperatore of Empire Tax Prep, and The Impact of a Single Engagement by Kira Rizzuto of Arts Ed NJ. One of our newest artists, Jayshree Srikanth of DanceXStudio, also got our artists moving with an interactive performance highlighting four Indian dance styles.

Our artists also enjoyed delicious eats by local woman-owned Mexican and Italian restaurant Mozzarella, creative activities like puppetmaking, and the chance to have warm, connected conversations. Thank you to everyone who made this wonderful day possible!
