YA is a proud recipient of the new Equity Impact Zone (EIZ) grant to address mental health equity gaps within local New Jersey communities.

YA’s grant will address youth mental health in schools. Students in Burlington County and Trenton schools will engage with trained teaching artists to improve coping skills and emotional regulation, foster feelings of connection among peers, increase empathy and compassion for others, and create opportunities for feelings of accomplishment through the arts.

The grant is made possible by Mental Health America and Otsuka Pharmaceutical America, Inc.
