David Gonzalez performed "Mad Dog and Me" and Aesop's Bops at our school this morning. I just wanted you to know that this was the best anti-bullying message that we have had in my years here. Besides his performance, which captivated a very large audience, his message was honest and clear. I wanted you to know just how well received this performance was. Mr. Gonzalez is a phenomenal entertainer with an educational underlying message—that we can change the world with gentleness and kindness. The kids find him to be ultra-COOL and are enraptured by his dramatized tales of what it is like to be a kid. He has the energy of a dynamo and held the attention of our audience for over an hour. He engages the students in his storytelling, and you could hear a pin drop as he wove his tales of what it is like to be a child with a step-parent, or the victim of an ice ball hurled at your head by the school bully.
