Description

In this interactive and energetic program, students brainstorm and contribute to “hit” songs.  Songwriting is a joyous way to reinforce and learn curriculum concepts.  Students will learn the basics of songwriting and will write songs on topics ranging from core classroom learning to character education and SEL. An art-from-home component will be part of the program as each student has the opportunity to draw pictures to describe the song topics; these art pieces will be used to create a music video which will be produced by Alice Leon at the end of the residency.

Each workshop or residency is individually designed to support classroom learning and meet the unique needs of students and teachers.
