Do you love Pixar, Disney, or anything animated? Then this is the class for you! In this beginner’s animation course, students learn the basics of 2D animation using some of the 9 principles established by classic Disney animators.
Through a series of projects, students learn how to bring their drawings – and their imaginations – to life! Projects are completed on provided Ipads and Apple Pencils using the digital art programs Rough Animator and Procreate!

I like to set the room up in a circle formation. One large round table or square desks arranged to have participants facing each other. I like the sense of community that it creates, and it allows for collaboration as opposed to having an isolated experience at a desk. I would also need a projector with a podium or desk to draw on as well for participant demonstration purposes. As far as equipment, teachers can bring their own tablets. I can provide Ipads for up to 15 people along with Apple Pencils. We’ll be using the program Flip a Clip for the day (which is free), so they can download it beforehand if they’re bringing their own tools. Flip a Clip works on Android, MacOS, and Windows, so they should be able to use the software regardless of the hardware.
